Read the 2008 Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week Press Release

Five years ago, before MitoAction even existed as an organization, a family who is dealing with the diagnosis of mitochondrial disease may have been alone in their efforts to understand and find support and advocacy for the disorder.

Today, we are successfully creating a network of free support, resources and information with our mission to improve quality of life and access to support and care for every adult and child affected by a mitochondrial disorder.

Fundraising efforts were phenomenal, and generated over $100,000 during the month of September and during the event.  This fundraising success ensures that MitoAction will continue to create outreach, education and support initiatives in 2009.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
