Carnitine and Muscle Biopsy

Hi- Mitochondrial disorder is one thing that has been suggested for my son's health and development issues. The dr. mentioned a muscle biopsy but my question will his Carnitine supplementation skew the biopsy? He has been on 2mL 3 times a day for 6 months now. Before this his free carnitine was only 6.

I believe you need to stop

I believe you need to stop any cocktail ingredients 4 weeks before the muscle biopsy.
