Im 18 hah soo I sort fit in both catogories teens and adults, funny age lol.. Anyways, I have always wanted to work and do everything on own. I have been sick since I was 14 or well thats when the real problems started up. So I am getting ready to go to college and I decided to stay at the community college before I even knew what I had. Anyways, the jobs I wanted well they just arnt going to work for my anymore, I will not be able to keep up. This is pretty darn depressing to go through. And Im hating it.. This week I havent had 1 good day. Today is ok, because im starting on adding more new meds to my collection. I just found out a week and a day ago. Soo back to the question. What sort of jobs can I get that pay well enough but are low impacted?  I just dont know being 18 watching everyone get to do all this stuff (actually all through teenage years) its really hard. So im trying to deal with it. But before this I rode horses all the time and now well I dont and I dont know if I ever will be able to. Im pretty bumbed out about that but im trying to find new careers that I might like that wouldnt take all my energy away..

So thanks for your help in advanced. And I may repost my intro in the adult intros if not you can go read it in the teen sections if you would like  =)

Yeah, I asked some people on another fourm I go on. And someone mentioned insurance billing and medical clerk. Just some ideas for anyone that wants them. They pay pretty well. I actually think I may do medical clerk, they do the billing and all the office work. I worked in the office at school during highschool and ejoyed it so Im thinking along those lines 2 years of schooling not that hard just gotta learn medical terms. (haha I know alott already) but just a thought for anyone eles that looks on here. =)

Well Janice before I got totally sick I rode horses. That was pretty much my life. I havnt been on a horse for over a year now = ( that was what I was planning on getting my career in. I was going to get a degree in Equine Rehab. But that isnt going to be what happens. But its ok ive come to terms with it. I do enjoy photography alot as well. And just being outdoors but of course doing alot of things takes away all my energy. I love to use my creativity as well.

One of my son's Therepist

One of my son's Therepist wanted me to become an Advocate for kids and go around to schools and that and speak about mito. You could also do computer work. A friend of mine works from home and types out the doctors notes and stuff. She really doesn't even type them now she uses speech recognition software. She does it at night and while the kids are at school. That seems like it would be a great job you could do it when you feel good and you wouldn't have to leave your house. O'kay I have a silly question. Why haven't you been on a horse? We just started Hippo therapy with my son. Do you think it is to much? He sleeps till the next day everytime we go. But, he seems to love it. I thought it would be good for stengthening and truck control. It seems like you would know alot about the subject.Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated.

I always recommend

I always recommend Engineering for people with physical disabilities. :) 95% mental work. 5% carrying items up to 10 lbs (laptops and notepads). Maybe you could work in a Vets office doing the office work. That way you can still be around the horses you love, but don't have to do the heavy lifting.
