I have tried everything.  I work hard and have medical insurance yet it doesn't cover genetic testing and I have to fight all the time for her meds since they consider them vitamins and not medication.  I also have racked up a lot of physical therapy copays.  I have searched high and low for help.  Basically unless you don't work, live off the system or have no income, working people can not receive help.  I am so frustrated does anyone have any suggestions or websites I can check.  I need a supplemental insurance or some financial assistance anybody know of any for working not considered low income people?  Please advise.

Hi Liberty, Depending on

Hi Liberty, Depending on the state you live in there are some things you can do. The first is to find out if your state has a program like in Wisconsin, called Katie Beckett. This program offers MA coverage to children with disabilities whose parents make too much income for SSI. Your child should receive a disability determination. If your child is under the age of three, there should be a Birth to 3 program, which covers the costs of therapies for children with developmental issues, including pt. Finally, each state has medicaid waiver programs for children with disabilities, however there might be a waitlist. You will want to apply for that and at least get your child on the waitlist. I hope this helps. Contact your health & human services department.
