Print I became aware of a problem after the second dose of Floxin (ofloxacin) resulted in metabolic shutdown and a call to 911. I was prescribed it for a bronchial infection before my diagnosis of mitochondrial myopathy. In addition to achilles tendon rupture, there are a number of other dangers for people with myopathy and mitochondrial disease. My understanding is that these drugs mimic CoQ-10 to kill yeast cells and bacteria. This is not an exhaustive list, use your favorite search engine. Looks like there are lots of lawyers who are taking cases for victims, but it is better to avoid these! http://fqvictims.org/fqvictims/index.htm http://www.outdoored.com/Community/blogs/wildmed/archive/2009/06/28/fluo...
