Hi, My name is Beth.  Both of my children and I have melas (3243).  We lost our daughter March 10 this year.  She would have been 9 on April 16.  Her name was Abby.

We have gone to some parties recently.  Everyone seems so happy and I am so sad, it is hard to get through them.  Today at a July 4th party we met someone new and she wanted to know all about Abby.  Thank goodness someone wanted to talk about her.

Oh Beth I am so glad oyu have found someone who was willing to hear about your little girl. For me it is so important to remember that Luke and Benjamin are still my sons. I still need others to acknowledge that too. Your loss is so recent I am sure you are still finding people who avoid mentioning her name for fear of reminding you of your grief....like it may have slipped your mind?????? I could never quite grasp how people thought they may upset me...I was as upset as I could be and pretending it hasnt happened doesnt help. If it helps ypu to write about your thoughts and feelings then do. At least hear you know people will read with love and understanding in their hearts. I am going to go find your websites this evening as we have visitors who are leaving by lunch time and I will be able to learn about Abby. love and hugs
