List of Medications to Avoid

Does anyone know if there is a list out there that names the medications people with mito should avoid? This would include medications that prevent the production and/or absorbtion of CoQ10. I know there must be a list out there somewhere.

Hi, I don't know. One doctor has told me and my son we should take it, because we have melas, thus for stroke prevention, but I don't feel comfortable with doing that and have not researched it, so I decided not to use it. I also am uncomfortable using it in my son for fear if he gets a fever he is at risk for Reye's syndrome. I don't know, even though it has been recommended. Maybe you could go onto Pubmed and punch in aspirin and mitochondrial toxicity and see if there are any articles about it. Beth

Does anyone know if change in voice (hoarseness, raspyness and complete loss of) changes are associated with mitochondrial disease in adults.
