Print I am trying to understand how a mito disorder can end up causing a stroke? Would it be safe to have a pitutary tumor removed from a mito patient, or does being under sedation cause concern for stroke? Please advise....Many Thanks and Blessings....Superman's Girl __________________

Hi, I'm not really sure how......Maybe the Brain isn't getting the energy it needs....or maybe stress.....not staying hydrated even not eating right could probably be factors, All just guesses..... that will be a question on my list for my Mito Doctor........Good luck......God Bless Lori :)

Thank You Lori....just tryin to find the knowledge I need to protect my Superman from as much as I can! They say knowledge is power, and from what I know to date, I thought if you keep the blood slick, that can keep you from having a stroke, because I thought a stroke came from sticky blood forming a clot that ends up in the brain, and I've heard that there are natural things you can take to keep the blood slick and free flowing, but I can't start him on that until the muscle biopsy has been done.......Blessings...Superman's Girl

Thanks Don...I hear you, as I can see where this ten year battle for an answer has aged my Superman, and he seems less able to handle stress, so I wonder if that is from Mito, or just being worn down from the fight with docs and the inner battle, as a man, to be strong and push to do what he thinks is required, as a provider. The brain tumor has added more stress, and I pray that it can be removed asap!! Still looking for knowledge on how the stroke happens more to mito people, and if providing supplements that keep the blood slick and free flowing, could offer that safety net, since I've heard that stroke happens from sticky blood that forms a clot and moves to the brain....Blessings....Superman's Girl....
