Hello all

We are looking for ideas for fundraising events or any other ideas on how to raise money for Colbie. We are drowning in debt from her medical bills and my having to stay home to care for Colbie so we are now down to one income, but I am sure that a lot of you are in the same boat as us. We are trying to raise money to get Colbie a service dog as well as to pay for her medical bills that are piling up and maybe even get caught up on some bills that have fallen behind, but are not sure where to start. Another question we have is does anyone know of any programs that are out there to possibly help us with getting her out with other kids with disabilities or support groups that are available to Mito families. We are in New York state right by Albany. Any ideas that you could offer are welcome and needed so much. Love and hugs to all.

Hello, I have looked up "Lions International" and there is one in Albony,N.Y. If you go to thier website, you will see alot of resources and activities they provide for children with disabilities.(the things you need help with)just give the contact number a call, and they will explain what you need to do. They are there to serve the community, helping children with disabilties. I think it would be a great place to start! They are a wonderful organization. Wishing you lots of success! jan

Hi Jan

I am sorry that it took me so long to get back to you, but we are back in the hospital and will be here for a while. I have not had  the chance to call the Lions yet, but I do plan on doing it as we really need to get Colbie a service dog soon because she is severely depressed and withdrawn. Thanks for the idea and I will truly follow through when we go home.
