Protocol

I   was brought to the ER. for stroke like symptoms and couldn't get the emergency room attendents  to follow protocol.........God Bless....and good luck to ALL  of us,  Lori  :)

Just wondering if you have a piece of paper from your doctor with the protocol written out or did you have to tell them and they didn't believe you?.  From my experience, the piece of paper from the doctor usually caries more wieght.  Although there was a situation where we presented a protocol in writing to be used before a minor surgical procedure for my child.  I went to the nurse's desk and saw a bag of Lactated Ringers laying there next to her chart.  To say the least,  I pretty much lost it, we put her clothes back on and left the hospital.  There were a few other times when in the ER, I presented the paper and the doctors chose to ignore it.  I understand where you are coming from.

thank-you, i will take your advise and get something written from the doctor i did have; the card with an explaination; about mito and what to do if certain things happen;it's for doctors.............God Bless :)

Quess whay.........I spent another week in the hospital, took my husband & I  forever to get  me an IV. drip. I HOPE it never happens again,but I'll be ready with a letter don't you worry..........God Bless,  Lori  :)
