Statins

As most of us know, statins are not a good class of drugs to take for those of us with mito disease.  This is a link to one of many articles I have read about them.  It does not discuss mitochondrial disease, but discusses statins and their depletion of CoQ10 and side effects.

Hi, yes satins do deplete,our CoQ10; I did hear that(oh but I guess they always fail to tell us) I take extraCoQ10 just to be sure. I have to take Nexium 2x's a day.It's definitely worth talking to our doctors, I do, before I do any thing......Good Luck....God Bless.....Lori:)
