“Game Over” Mito – Super Smash Bros. Tournament
March 1 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm$20
Thomas Schmid (age 13) has been battling Mitochondrial disease since 2012, and he continues to defy the odds of this debilitating disease.
Thomas is competitive by nature however, he cannot compete in physical sports like his three younger siblings Joey (11), Penny (9) and Rusty (7). Thomas has found gaming as a way to compete with others, and this year he and MitoAction want your help to say “game over” to mitochondrial disease! Come compete with Thomas during a day of fun, prizes and food as we raise awareness and help find a cure for mito.
The past few years, Thomas’ parents Abby and Adam have run 7 miles at the Falmouth Road Race for MitoAction to raise awareness and support for mitochondrial disease. They believe a Smash Bros. tournament at Up Time Esports Hanover, MA on March 1st, 2020 is a perfect fundraiser for the Road Race and suits Thomas interest. It is an opportunity to welcome friends and family to support and game with Thomas.
On behalf of Up Time Esports and MitoAction, they would love to give Thomas an opportunity to shine in HIS arena!
