This is Graham Collins. In January 2017, Graham lost his battle against Alpers-Huttenlocher syndrome, a mitochondrial disorder that caused Graham’s mitochondria DNA to deplete, instead of replicate. Although he only spent 14 months with us on earth, Graham showed us his bravery, strength, and his sweet and silly personality. Alpers’ disease took him from us too soon, but we know that Graham’s impact continues to this day. We hope by raising awareness, talking about these diseases, and actively fundraising, we will find a cure to save other families the heartbreak we experienced.
