Mito Patient & Family Socials
We have heard many people express their desire to meet other Mito families in their communities. We want to help you make those connections. We are seeking volunteers to help organize a Mito Patient and Family Social in your area and MitoAction will help! These gatherings are low-key, relaxed events that allow Mito families to meet each other, share stories, give and get support, and realize they're not alone on this difficult journey. For more information: www.mitoaction.org/mito-patient-and-family-socials. If you'd like to help organize a Social, or want more information, please contact MitoAction membership and support coordinator Ginger DeShaney at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Call us at 1-888-MITO-411 (648-6411) to connect to a volunteer who can relate to the journey of diagnosis and the challenges of living with mitochondrial disease. Volunteers are adults with Mito, parents of children with mitochondrial disorders, and caregivers. For more information: http://www.mitoaction.org/mito-411
